The Branham marching band performed a community show at Branham on Wednesday night, preparing for their upcoming championships and playing for friends and family. After running through the show once, Royal Alliance seniors went on top of the press box to watch the rest of the band perform again, filming and loudly providing commentary.

Information
Branham's Royal Alliance Marching Band & Color Guard are a competitive marching band. The band mixes marching, choreographed dance, color guard, and percussion with incredible props, costumes, and of course captivating music. The band travels to stadiums all over the Bay Area and the state.
This is an opportunity for students to perform in an electric environment, performing for large audiences in packed stands. Joining the program not only strengthens the students' skills in their instrument or as a guard member, with instruction from our talented staff, but the program also encourages responsibility, dedication, passion, drive.
Branham's Royal Alliance competes in the WBA circuit and was ranked 3rd in the 2025 Grand Championships out of over 30 bands.
Practice & Performance Schedule
Royal Alliance meets for three hours after school twice a week and every Saturday either for practice or performance. ​The season starts with Get In Step and Band Camp during the summer with the official WBA season running from September - November. There are around 9 performances a season.
Transportation from Branham and back as well as dinner is provided for all competitions!

Band Camp
Band Camp is one of the most important times of the season as it is the first time all of Royal Alliance are together working on the new show. Band Camp has two components Get In Step and Band Camp Week.
Get In Step are day long events that happen twice during the summer. It is an important day where new incoming members are able to meet the rest of the students and bond through games and get to know you activities, as well as introductions to how marching and performing a field show works. They will start to learn the skills it takes to be part of Marching Band & Color Guard.

Band Camp Week usually falls a couple of weeks before school starts. This camp is a Monday - Saturday all day intensive program. The students will start to get in shape for the competition season, practice some of the songs they will be playing in the show, as well as some of the formations and blocking for the field show. This time spend at camp is what makes the rest of the season possible. All the hard work that the students and staff put in during this week allow for the amazing shows Branham is known for. It is very important that all perspective members of marching band or color guard attend this week. The week ends in a Family & Friends show on the football field where the students get to show off all the work they've been doing, and its the first time the show will be performed in front of a large audience!
